I am creative, and so can you!

Just found out yesterday that I can be creative, contrary to popular (read: my own) belief. Revel with me as you check out my latest reason to not pack it in just yet! Then, contribute to the best magazine in the world as you purchase and wear my co-creation!!

And, we're back!

Since I find myself home from work today, nursing a nearly-broken toe (actually, two toes) that resulted from a disastrous family night accident in which Zach dropped a bowling ball on my foot last night, I figured I'd take a few minutes to update my blog, which I haven't done for almost three weeks now. Apparently, a few people do read this thing, so who am I to deprive the masses of their entertainment at my expense?

First, I have to give props to the Philadelphia Phillies for winning the World Series. This is the first time in my life that a team I have supported for a long time has pulled off a championship (not counting BYU's football championship in 1984, which I was a bit too young to understand the significance of). I'm looking at you, Utah Jazz and Minnesota Vikings, to do the same for me sometime!!

Next, I guess we should discuss Halloween a bit. Kyle made a good surgeon, and Zach a cute little bear, and they seemed to love trick-or-treating. Zach quickly figured out the game, and enjoyed stopping between houses to pull a treat out of his bag to hold with his other hand. I, even though I despise dressing up for work, decided to join my labeling department, which I oversee, in dressing up as characters from Alice in Wonderland. Since we hold a contest for best department theme, I thought I might as well give it a shot, and since they already had an idea for me, I went along. I found a reasonably-priced costume on the Internet, and made a limited appearance as Tweedle-Dum (or, as I like to think, Tweedle-Dumber, in my case). We won third place, losing only to a bunch of bees and an all-female KISS group. Positive reinforcement is always good thing, and I got a lot of it, so now I guess we'll have to come up with something more fun for next year.

Next, I was able to hobble over to the local junior high school with my wife this afternoon to go vote, which is a privilege I always enjoy. Gotta say, I love being an American!!

Well, I suppose that's all I can add right now...my toes are beginning to throb again...time for some more ibuprofen! To those of you who read my blog, thanks for humoring me! I'll try to add some pictures and other stuff soon....
